Jimmy
Moore is a graduate of Tech High School and
he also attended Memphis State University. Additionally,
Jimmy is a Certified Public Administrator from
the University of Tennessee. He was re-elected
for his third term as Circuit Court Clerk for
Shelby County in August, 2002. He is a member
of the "International Association of Clerks,
Recorders, Election Officials, and Treasurers"
(IACREOT), and the "County Officials Association
of Tennessee" (COATS).
Prior
to serving as Clerk, Jimmy was on the Memphis
City Council from 1986 until 1994. Winning two
re-elections, he was appointed Chairman by his
colleagues in 1990.
On
a more personal note, Jimmy is the father of
four and is married to Barbara Moore. He is
an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church
where he serves as an usher and enjoys being
involved with local charities.
