Tennessee Secretary of State Information

1. Please make sure a complete mailing address, for each party to be served, is provided. Normally, service is accomplished using certified mail.

2. Two original civil warrants for each defendant must be provided.

3. A check for $20.00, per defendant, made payable to the Secretary of State, must be provided.

4. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for the civil warrant to be served and returned.

5. The General Sessions Court Clerk's Office will process the papers and send them to the Tennessee Secretary of State at:
