The Office of Interagency Services is responsible for developing and maintaining a number of youth services initiatives and projects shared by Juvenile Court of Memphis and Shelby County and a variety of outside community-based agencies

Our aim:

  • To fully develop and expand services to children and families in Memphis and Shelby County and those brought to the attention of the Court.

Interagency Services serves as a central point of contact for outside agencies seeking information and assistance on a variety of topics, including children's programs and services. Staff works closely with outside agencies serving children and families at local, state, and federal levels to fully utilize their services and to lend assistance and support to those agencies. We endeavor to fully maximize programs and services to expand local solutions for children and families in Memphis and Shelby County and those presenting to the Court.

How to Become an Approved Agency for Juvenile Court Referrals

If you are an agency and wish to provide mental health or program services to Court involved youth, you will need to be approved for the Court's Resource Directory. Please contact Interagency Services or the Office of Clinical Services for a Provider Profile Application. Please return your completed application to Interagency Services, along with any program literature, and it will be promptly processed.

Service categories within the Court's Resource Directory currently include but are not limited to:

  • Acute Care
  • Mental Health
  • Substance Abuse
  • Parenting Classes
  • Family Counseling
  • Anger Management
  • GED/Vocational
  • Residential Programs
  • Day Treatment

Agency Outcome Reporting Requirements: In an effort to determine program and service effectiveness for the ever-changing population of youth entering the juvenile justice system, performance measures and outcome data from all service providers who receive referrals from this Court are required. We are certain that agencies are as interested as the Court in the valuable information that research will yield. We appreciate your willingness to participate in the gathering of this vital data to measure long-term program effectiveness.

Agency Licensure and Criminal Background Checks: Agencies must be licensed and have current criminal background checks subsequent to all local, state, and federal guidelines and laws.
