Passports
The Shelby County Probate Court Clerk's office is an approved Passport Acceptance Agency. We offer no hassle, no wait service for anyone interested in applying for a U. S. Passport.
What to Bring:
- Two (2) passport size photos.
- Certified copy of your birth certificate showing you are a U. S. citizen.
- Photo ID (drivers license with photo)

The Probate Court
Clerk's office is located on the 1st floor of the Courthouse at 140
Adams. Applicants may appear between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday.
TOTAL FEES
If you are 16 years of age or older- - $ 100.00
If you are under 16 years of age - - - $ 85.00
If you need to expedite a passport application, there is an additional $60.00 fee and you will get your passport back within 3 weeks. Normal processing time is 4 to 6 weeks.
